Well, I'm back! It's been too long. Not a whole lot to talk about yet, seeing as the game hasn't actually started, but since I'm a complete sicko I thought I'd write a confessional anyway!
Interesting group of people we seem to have. As far as I can tell, I'm only familiar with a couple of players. Zach Braff (Pgcool) was eliminated early on in the previous season I played, so I don't know much about him. And then there's Cher (Renée)... Conan O'Brien's best friend and greatest nemesis, who helped me get to the final two with a tight alliance before voting for the other person. I don't forget these things (he says, cackling with villainous glee). In truth, though, I don't know how I'll approach things with Cher, and it might not matter if we don't wind up on the same tribe. I hope we do, though, because it would be gloriously awkward to play with someone that I actually have something of a history with.
Speaking of history, I am feeling a little bit of pressure here! I've been perusing the new site (I guess it's not so new anymore!) and came across the 'SRGO Remembrance' thread with rankings of the old site's Survivor games. It's fantastic that the one season I was in was #1 on the list, but saying that I was "the best well rounded player arguably ever" sure puts the heat on me to do well! (Not that I don't appreciate the vote of confidence, though!) Should provide some good motivation, and maybe make things more interesting (read: dangerous) when/if people figure out that I'm the same guy who played Conan in the previous game (which shouldn't be too hard, though I have no intention of bringing it up myself unless I think it'll help me).
No question, this game will be a completely different experience now that I've already played once. And this time I'm not settling for second place.
