I really shouldn't be complaining, because I'm sure I'll eventually hit a period of utter craziness if I stay in the game long enough, but so far things have been quiet. I chalk it up to the far that we've won the first two immunity challenges, which means that we still haven't been forced into any serious strategizing.
As far as my relations with the tribe goes, the only really significant thing that has happened in the last few days is that, with the sole exception of Audrina, I've talked to everyone in the tribe that I hadn't already made contact with. For all of the quietness, I still think that we have a pretty active tribe on the whole, which is what's allowing us to win these challenges. Even George came out of the woodwork to (briefly) participate. At this point, it's pretty clear that the two people holding us back are Audrina and Kathy, but at the very least I've got a pre-existing relationship with Kathy. We're definitely going to Tribal this round, so my first choice would be to get rid of Audrina, but as always I'm flexible.
Speaking of actually having to go to Tribal, I've started to think a bit more seriously about potential alliances. Like I said last time, Kevin and Gary seem like decent alliance prospects, and I'd throw Carmen into that group now as well. Both Kathy and Cher seem to have gone MIA over the last couple of days (though Cher's disappearance can in part be explained by the fact that she sat out the challenge), which only adds to the reservations I already had about them. In an ideal world, I think I'd like to try to get me, Kevin, Gary, Carmen, and Kelly Clarkson in a group together. This allows us (read: me) to keep the most active challenge participants while simultaneously getting rid of Cher, who I still see as a decent-sized threat in spite of her relative inactivity. It's still early, so I'm not going to push anything too hard, but it's a thought.
Nothing much else. A couple of idiots had a flamewar after the last challenge... that was fun. FWIW, I was completely on Gary's side, but staying out of the fighting was clearly the right move. What I really wanted to post, though, is that the next game should have a literacy requirement, because Jordan is a complete trainwreck. I don't know if he's really young or if English is his second language or what, but I can't believe the other tribe didn't vote him out at the last TC. Seriously, I'd rather have an inactive player on my tribe if I were them.
So I guess it's off to the challenge. I'm not really sure how hard I'm going to try... given that everyone has an immunity idol, it's probably best to not leave anything to chance, but I don't feel particularly threatened at this point...
...famous last words.
