Summary
Teferi had finally realized that in order to save Dominaria, one of the largest planes in the Multiverse, each planeswalkers must sacrifice their spark to seal each time rift. At the end of book two, Lord Windgrace and Freyalise had sacrificed their life to save the land they had cherished. Even though several rifts had been sealed, there were still several major rifts that need to be sealed. For each time rift that remained, a planeswalker is required to seal it. With the return of Leshrac and Nicol Bolas, the oldest and one of the most powerful planeswalker, can Teferi and his company be able to seal all rifts in time?
Reactions to the book
The book is pretty interesting in that it deals with the idea of redemption for each of the characters. Especially for Teferi, his avoidance of the war against Phyrexia in previous cycles made him looked like a coward and betrayer to his fellow planeswalker. In his return to Dominaria after three hundred years and trying to convince the planeswalkers he had betrayed in the war to sacrifice their sparks in order to seal the rift. Even though he managed to gain their trust at the end, and he managed to save Dominaria, it finally makes him a hero instead of a betrayer and coward.
