Tonight Australian went to the polling booths and had there say and for the first time since before the first world war was there a major swing to the Liberal party......For either party to win this election they would have to hold 76 seats or more....But neither party has managed to obtain that so we have a Hung Parliament.....

It means that no one party has majority and so if they want to pass a bill or anything it would have to go to the senate.... Here is a link that could explain it better for you guys... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hung_parliamentI am not sure what Liberal Party means actually all I know it's not Labor Party......I guess I will have to do some reading.

Labor= Centrist (slightly left witng) Politics
Liberal Coalition= Right wing politics
This is very basic I know but for a quick gist I hope it helps. Personally I dont really like either party but Tony Abbot is a bit of a religius nut cake so Im pulling for labor in this one, Personally though I wouldnt mind seeing the Australian sex party win an election one day

Thats a knee slapper,
Also shouldnt the governor general take charge untill the election is decided, that seems the most fair

What I got from last night is that the care taker prime minister get first debs at trying to get the independents on there side but really would you trust someone who back stabbed their boss to get the job as prime minister, now would you...And if they can get the numbers they go to the governor general and say we can make up the numbers and I like to become the next prime minister....and then its a yay or nay from the governor general.... If not they suggest that the opposition can.
