PART : 1 - A MOVIE REVIEWSUSPIRIA The film I will be reviewing will be Suspira which is an amazing film from the great mind of Dario Argento. The first time I watched the film I did not know what I was in for, and boy did I miss out not watching this sooner! This movie has been out since the late 70’s, and just about two years ago they were having Halloween showings at a local megaplex in my area. My friend encouraged me to go with her to see the film. A quick rundown of what the films about, a young American girl goes to Germany to a famous dance school that is overrun by Witches. I got there and the theater was packed! The film started, with an amazing score! The music in this film is one of the major highlights! Throughout the film there is an original score of music performed by a band founded by Dario Argento. Just a side note the band later became internationally famous after George Romero used them for his film, Dawn of the Dead(1978). The music keeps the film in the element, non-stop tour de force. There was not a moment in the movie where I felt safe, and the music held up the effect! Another aspect to the film was the lighting, and camera work. This was one of the very last films that used Technicolor, and you could tell. The colors in this movie were amazing! Dario Argento liked to use the lighting of red, and green throughout the film. From the first shot where the main character is walking out of the airport, to the last shot of the ‘red’ school in flames. One of my favorite scenes in this movie is when the first young girl flees the school after finding out what was really going on. She goes and stays at a friend’s house before her flight back home. Her friend lives in an apartment somewhat far from the school. The apartment building is strange and bright! The witches at the school summon a demon to make sure to stop this girl from telling anyone anything. The demon arrives at the apartment and just causes a mess! One of the most beautiful death scenes I have ever seen in a horror movie! The Brutal death has this strange effect on me, the colors of the blood and the stain glass breaking…just everything was so perfectly done! Overall I enjoyed this movie very much! I think it was great, and it is in my list of favorite horror movies of all time. I will never forget the first time I watched it in that dark theater and hearing the screams, and biting my nails to nubs! This movie hits all the right spots for me, you feel like you are there! You are watching this happen! It has that feel of a nightmare! Definitely check this film out this Halloween!

WRTING # 2 - A Poem From the drop of a key, the kingdom was lost, Nobody knew it was over, low stakes high cost. Children wait for their fathers and mothers, Holding hands with sisters and brothers. The fire swept the cities with great speed, Giving our spokesmen and masters to take the lead. The crowds begs for freedom beyond the great gate, Those left in the city to deal with their fate. The dead have risen to reclaim their place, People left to die no matter their race. The news stories tell you that its all just a dream, If you want to survive you better find you a team. If you have money it’s easy for you, If you have a child you will die too. Stopping this madness is no easy feat at all, If someone doesn’t save us we will all fall.

PART III: THE STORY The razor sharp teeth biting into my arm brought me to a moment of realization, life. I had thought of the choices I made in my life to lead me to where I was right now; covered in blood, loosing body parts. Would I die, or survive? If I die, will anyone find me, know what happened? If I survive, what will I do first? My name is Tabitha Anne Steel, and right now my life is in the hands of an eight foot, god knows how many pound, Grizzly bear. Did I mention that I was five foot three? It's funny the things that pop into your head when you're about to die. I was thinking about money, the money I saved since I was ten. The money that I didn't spend. Would that turn out to be a waste? I mean I have no kids to pass it on too! Then I thought about the amazing spa that I was supposed to go to tomorrow. I have so much to live for, and so much to do. The bear tossed me aside; I saw a puddle of my blood next to me. Once again, the butcher's meat cleaver, a.k.a. the bear's mouth, chomped my leg and began to drag me. This is not right! You may think this sounds crazy, but I didn't cry. I mean I screamed for the first five seconds of the attack, but after that my body went into such a state of shock I barley felt the pain. It was like a movie. When the pain kicked in as I was being dragged I got angry. I was angry because I would not have been here if it wasn't for that go lucky, nasty, perverted, cheating man I call my husband. Well ex-husband. It was his fault that I'm going to die! If I stayed married to him, I would be at home. Pete had to cheat. Men, really it's true what they say. Can't live with them, and can live without them. Funny how I am blaming him for all this… As the bear reached the river the pain had stopped. All I needed now was a large iced tea and some poppers and it would be a wonderful afternoon. The bear dropped me and started to roar. Boy that sound brought back memories. Memorizes of my husband reaching his climax. Ex-husband. Sex with him was awful. But it was something we both worked on together, you know to achieve a goal…his orgasm. I looked up at the bear and smiled, it's not so bad dying in the hands of grizzly. What sucks is that it's a male. Oh well…time to close my eyes. It's been fun; I gave it my best go. And hey, nobody said it would be easy…well there was that one guy, but he died.
