Dream
It is only in dream; You find gleam Of light, of hope and of a never-ending stream
Time isn’t what it seems; And it runs on a whole new scheme Of pain, of memories and of a chance to redeem
Nothing occurs as you deem But often with a certain theme Of life, of death and of a wake-up scream

The conversation Every time, I go for a jog near my house, I would always see an old man sitting alone. He seems to be deep in thoughts each time I saw him. I thought he was just some lonely old man that is trying to kill time. The first time, I spoke to him was on a Saturday. I am really curious in knowing why he is always here in the morning. I asked him, ‘what are you doing here? Are you trying to kill some time?’ ‘How do you kill time when it will always flow?’ that was his reply. I expected the answer to be something about him being lonely. He sees me staring at him, and he said, ‘My son, looks is always deceiving. I may look lonely and trying to ‘kill’ some time here, I can tell you, and this is not the case.’ I continued looking at him waiting for him to tell me what exactly he is doing here. He paused awhile, and then he continued, ‘What make you think that I am just a lonely old man?’ I simply said, ‘I have always seen you sitting here every time I come for a jog. And you are always by yourself.’ ‘I am merely thinking on how my life would be different if I had made another decision. I had many regrets in life now that I am old. Everything is too late for me to make any changes now.’ He said with a very sad tone. ‘I also have my share of regrets in life.’ I tried to console him, by saying that everyone has a few regrets in life. By then, the old man already arouse my curiosity; not as a writer but as a human being. I wondered if I reached his age, will I be like him. ‘So why are you jogging?’ the man asked, with a grin on his face. ‘I am here to maintain my health.’ I replied, thinking that the old man should have known his answer long before he asked his question. ‘That’s like why I am here. I am here to maintain my brain. Dodo without predators lost its ability to fly, men without thinking lost their ability to make decisions.’ The old man said, surprising me again. I had to say that the old man was very educated which was pretty uncommon for people of his age. Just as I was about to introduce myself to him, he stood up and said that it was time for him to go. I looked at his back as he walked down slowly down the street where I had just jogged from. That was the last time I seen him. Every time, I jogged past the same area, I hoped that he was there at the same bench, perhaps he might be deep in thoughts or we could just struck up another conversation. But he wasn’t there anymore.

Title: Bunny Man Genre: musical thriller
This musical is based on the urban legend, Bunny Man. It is about a cannibal who fell in love with the daughter of his victim. The musical starts with the locals finding hundreds of cleanly skinned, half-eaten carcasses of rabbits hanging from the trees. Then one of the locals after looking at the scene would start yelling that it was the work of the bunny man. All the locals that were there would start singing about the bunny man; their task is to allow the audience to understand what the bunny man is. After the song, there will be a discovery of a corpse that was skinned and hung from the trees. That was just one of the bunny man’s victim as the musical continues, it was certain that the people around Meer was killed. The bunny man, never called by his name in the whole musical would try to get closer to Meer. The climax of the musical was when Meer finally realized that the person she had fallen in love with was the bunny man and everyone she had knew was killed by her lover. That scene would be beside a railway track, the Bunny Man after realizing that there was no way they could be together again, jumped into an incoming train. Meer didn’t know if she was supposed to be happy that the killer was dead or sad that her lover had just committed suicide. In the end, she committed suicide by hanging herself from the tree, mimicking the scene at the start of the musical.
The song used at the climax:
Meer:
In sadness, he came hopping, With a hidden axe, he came. That voice which blinds my thoughts, Touches my heart And do I love him now? For now I see The bunny man is here, Right before me
Bunny Man:
With happiness, I came hopping, Without a sharp axe, I came. Your sweet voice calms me down, Warms my heart And do I love her now? For now I see The one for me is here Right before me
Meer:
For those who seen your axe, End up in death. We are just not meant to be.
Bunny Man:
Give me a chance
Both:
Love is not blind, It can see all but willing to see less. But I am/you are not blind.
(After the duet, the bunny man will jump into an incoming train. As Meer was engulfed with sadness, there will be singing by the locals from the offstage. The song is the same as the one they used to introduce the bunny man but this time, there will be new verses about the tragedy of the love between Meer and the Bunny man added in.)
