Currently Alex and Jason are running to be elected Moderator, Michael is running to keep his position.

Below are a series of questions from me and other members that relate to site topics and other things. In order to make the "ticket" you need to reply to them all, and if you wish you can debate with other members on their stances. All is fair, just realize that how you conduct yourself may help you or hurt you.

Some of the questions are from members, some are recycled from the past, I try to put them into categories but it didn't quite work the way I wanted it to.

Starting Now until Thursday at 9pm EST the debate will go on, at 10 or so I will have the voting up.

Are you pleased with the layout of the site? If not what would you change?

Are you pleased with the layout of the site? If not what would you change?
Overall I like it. It's a little dark for my taste. I prefer a more clean and open design, but its better than 85% of the boards out there. For sure. I might use lighter colors, more clean design to spruce it up and make it look really slick.

How can you yourself help improve the overall look of the site?
Well I'm a graphic designer, so I could definitely work with Chad and the other leaders of the site to implement anything they wanted. Like I said I might go with a more clean and bright approach if I were redesigning.

What do you feel is missing from the forums, design wise?
I wouldn't say anything is MISSING at all.

Have you ever advertised for RGRU, will you?
I have. I have posted stuff at other sites, and I will continue to do so if I know that the host is recruiting. I have been gone from what was SRGO for a while, so I haven't been lately.

Is RGRU your favorite ORG site, will it always come first(atleast forum wise) when you come online?
I only belong to one other community site and that's SEG. I am a player there though not a moderator. To be honest, I haven't been back a long time, but if I am running for Moderator its because I want this to be my home and I'll do what I can to make it the best ORG site.

Can we expect to see you as a host?
Of course. I have run successful games before, and I think up fun ingenious ways to use themes and such. I also have come up with games that are not just the norm, for instance a Top Chef game! And I have hosted really intense Amazing Race games.

If a problem comes up on RGRU and you needed to stay up all night to fix it, would you?
I'm not sure what problem would arise that would require me to be up all night fixing it. If it's that big a problem, the Global Moderator and Chad will probably be involved. I won't give up sleep on a work night, but that being said I am up pretty late right now as it is. I mean look at the time I am working on this.

What unique plans or ideas do you have for RGRU?
Well I think that new games are always refreshing, and I think we should implement "ghost" games here. It's sometimes really fun if you don't know who's playing and you get to become a character. It adds a new layer. I would also like to implement a suggestion box where people challenge hosts to come up with new kinds of games.

What is your plan to get more members to this site and keep them active?
Come up with new kinds of games with new levels of skills. There are a million Survivor ORGs. What makes ours special? The ones I have played that people are active in and clamoring to get into are the ones with tough challenges that actually make people work together, etc. I think if there are great games with great reputations, then people will play and bring their friends. Its important to hand recruit people for games - people that we all know are good and will stick around.

What is your plan to make RGRU a better place overall?
Be positive and available to all.

What is something on Rgru that you think is a failure?
I don't know that you guys have done a good job at getting the word out there yet. I think people were skeptical based on the way SRGO went down, so we need to do some rebuilding.

What is your stance on the debate and election system?
I think its good to make people think about what they are asking for.

What is your stance on alias's in games?
I think aliases should be allowed in games - I think it adds another layer to the game and allows people to really role play as characters. At this point I am not sure why we even pick celebrities to be - we don't play as them.

How should a staff member act?
They should keep personal feelings out of things. If something needs to be done for the site, regardless if you like the person or not, you need to do it.

What is your stance on cliques and inside jokes within parts of the RGRU Community?
I don't know any, so I am hoping I avoid them.

What are you thoughts on staff playing in games?
I think its fine. I would suggest that we have a staff ID and a playing ID. With proboards you can check when Moderators look at stuff and mess with stuff - so it would be easy to make sure people are staying honest. Also, if we had enough moderators we could always turn off Moderator powers for someone if they were in a game, etc.

If you already made all stars should you be allowed to compete in more seasons before all stars?
I think new people should get priority. If there are open spots, then past All Stars can be allowed to play.

What is your policy on curse words and obscene or sexual conversations in the forum area?
I think that it's not appropriate. Having played these games for years, I know that often times there are younger players - and this should remain a game that is open to all. Do they curse and talk sexually on the real shows? Then why do so here?

What is your policy when it comes to inactives playing in a game?
Three strikes you're out. That includes self-voting and not submitting for a challenge.

What is your stance on the Ban Penalty? When should someone be banned or suspended?
Someone shoud be banned, when there is no other alternative - when that person has gone above and beyond to make other people's experiences here miserable. Suspension should occur after 2 warnings, in my opinion. I also think people should serve minor suspensions if they bail on a game and go inactive.

What is your policy on playing in back to back games in the same series, should it be allowed?
Again. Let others take the slots first. If a host needs people to fill up the game THEN step in.

What is your stance on the invisibility option, should it be outlawed, or should there be rules for its use, or is it fine as it is?
I think the invisibility thing is fine. Most games require AIM IDs anyway.

What is your thought on alias's? Should they be separate or the same in point board?
I think all aliases should be revealed at the end of a game, and then all aliases count toward the same person in the points board. So if I played as Jason, Tigger and Mac - they would all just count toward my main account (Jason).

Yeah it seems pretty cool. I like the idea of a points board in general.

If you could change or add one thing, what would it be?
Maybe make it more graphical.

In what ways are you qualified for this job?
I have been playing in ORGs since 2004 and know a lot of people. I have moderated sites before, I have hosted games and I am online all the time. I am easy to get along with, a respected player and someone who takes something very seriously when given the opportunity.

In what ways are you more or less qualified than the other candidates for the position?
I don't know the other candidates so I can't compare. But I am older and more mature, I'm 33, so not a lot phases me. I'm a graphic designer so I can help contribute to the overall aesthetic of the board, and I am a well-known player. A lot of people respect me and have played with me before.

Do you consider yourself biased on alot of issues?
This is a pretty open ended question. So I'm going to say yes, because we all are. As a gay man, I have a lot of opinions about what's happening in the world right now - so am I biased on same sex marriage - yes. Am I biased on DADT? Yes. Am I biased against bigots who use my lifestyle as a pulpit for hate, you bet.

Have you ever used Drugs?
Yep.

Do you feel certain members of the community have different Values to the site?
Sure. Everyone brings something to the party, as long as we're all here to have fun and play games, then I don't care who you are.

How do you feel about gay marriage and abortion?
I am not even sure why this is a question on an application to become a moderator...I am FOR Gay Marriage, because I would like to get married someday and have kids - and right now I am not allowed. Which is bull! I think a woman's body is her own and she should have the right to choose.

If RGRU were to be re-named, what would you rename it?
Super Funtime Awesome Games. Or SFAG.

Are you pleased with the layout of the site? If not what would you change? I am pleased with the layout. I feel that a brighter color on top of the black background really makes the site pop.

How can you yourself help improve the overall look of the site? I can help look up and agree/disagree with honest opinion on future designs for RGRU.

What do you feel is missing from the forums, design wise? Nothing, honestly.

Have you ever advertised for RGRU, will you? I have advertised to select people I have felt could join, but if elected I will spread over all sources I can.

Is RGRU your favorite ORG site, will it always come first(atleast forum wise) when you come online? ORG site, yes. But I am also commited to the e-fed site I am apart of, and try to spend equal time on both.

Can we expect to see you as a host? I am currently working on a game or two, yes. =)

If a problem comes up on RGRU and you needed to stay up all night to fix it, would you? I would stay up as long as I could, but I cannot guarantee I could pull an all-nighter

What unique plans or ideas do you have for RGRU? I hope to add a place where our members can chat on the page live, which would allow the members to get to know each other better and give last minute announcements if necessary. I also plan to add some statistics to the site. Something to make the number nerds like me happy =D

What is your plan to get more members to this site and keep them active? The chat should help keep people active, but maybe get more people involved in games, or have more games played.

What is your plan to make RGRU a better place overall? Just to keep a family-like feel to our members and resolve any problems quickly before they snowball into a catastrophic issue on the site.

What is something on Rgru that you think is a failure? Mikecrossword... Just kidding! Theres no such thing as a FAILURE on the site... Just learning experiences

What is your stance on the debate and election system? I feel like the debate get voters to recognize their possible mods, and the election lets the people decide who will be the best at their jobs.

What is your stance on alias's in games? I feel alias's could make a game phenominal. But the persons involved need to be fully commited to the alias and never break character.

How should a staff member act? A staff member should be a role model for the newer gamers. Someone everyone can look up to and strive to be.

What is your stance on cliques and inside jokes within parts of the RGRU Community? As long as they are not hurting anyone or they aren't extreme (a group that dominates every single game) I think they are perfectly fine.

What are you thoughts on staff playing in games? Staff should be allowed to play in games, but only if they have not been informed of any part of the game ahead of time, and only if the game doesn't have enough players close to deadline.

If you already made all stars should you be allowed to compete in more seasons before all stars? Others should have the ability to participate in All-Stars, but just like with staff, if the game needs members, then All-Star members should be allowed to play.

What is your policy on curse words and obscene or sexual conversations in the forum area? To an extent, its fine. If it crosses the line, which varies depending on the person, or if its unnecessary there's no place for it in ORGs.

What is your policy when it comes to inactives playing in a game? I feel like a person should be under the "3 Strikes" rule when it comes to inactives. Have them given a warning for the first two offences, with either banning or deletion after a third inactive bid.

What is your stance on the Ban Penalty? When should someone be banned or suspended? Someone should be banned or suspended when they continuously break the rules, disobey they staff, or become someone nobody can stand on the boards.

What is your policy on playing in back to back games in the same series, should it be allowed? People should be allowed to play in back to back games in the same series, because the game is always played differently every time. Just because you win the first time, doesn't mean you will win the second time.

What is your stance on the invisibility option, should it be outlawed, or should there be rules for its use, or is it fine as it is? I believe invisibility is a perfectly fine option for ORGs.

What is your thought on alias's? Should they be separate or the same in point board? They should be in the same board because thats how most people recognize it anyway. And you either make their time confusing adding it up themselves, or just add them up for them.

Do you like the way the point board system works(Please see this thread, as the new board isn't up yet)? I have liked the way the SRGO/RGRU points board is set up. It shows who is the best in the SRGO/RGRU community at that time.

If you could change or add one thing, what would it be? A spot to show 1st place finishes, top 2, top 5, something along those lines... Something statsistics-like

In what ways are you qualified for this job? I have experence in computers, numbers, and doing things very creatively.

In what ways are you more or less qualified than the other candidates for the position? I am currently a college freshman planning to get my AA in theatre and my Bachelors in Statistics. Take that as you will.

Do you consider yourself biased on alot of issues? Who can honestly say they are not biased in any issue? Everyone will have their own opinions in any matter thrown at them.

Have you ever used Drugs? I'm straight-edge. I don't smoke, I don't drink, and I don't do drugs.

Do you feel certain members of the community have different Values to the site?

How do you feel about gay marriage and abortion? I believe abortions are wrong, and gays should be allowed to get married if they truly love each other.

If RGRU were to be re-named, what would you rename it? NRORG (New Revolution of Online Reality Gaming)

We did have a live chat sort of thing on srgo near the top, and i believe their is a code to make a chat room on the site. We might have had it on srgo not sure, but I know I had it on a dead sight I was part of, GaS.

I am pleased it is similar to the original SRGO and the background to the board and reply boxes blend very well together.

How can you yourself help improve the overall look of the site?
In college i am in a game programming class so with the class comes a program to create animations and design to pretty much anything on here.

What do you feel is missing from the forums, design wise?
Besides the quick news flash alerts on the main page there is no real animation on this site which could attract members instead of having just pictures and words.

Animation to hopefully draw members into it which main sites don't necessarily have.

Get games going and get old players as well as new players to have some fun.

What is something on Rgru that you think is a failure?
Kinda of boring in the sense of it being just pictures and words, mainly just words.

What is your stance on the debate and election system?
Fight for something you want in order to get high status and power on this site. It works perfect as a democracy.

What is your stance on alias's in games?
Alias can be interesting but if the original player can be found out, i kind of find it pointless because of the fact word can spread of who is who.

How should a staff member act?
Active, Open to Ideas, Express Ideas, Host, Friendly

What is your stance on cliques and inside jokes within parts of the RGRU Community?
History and friendships have perks and as long as you don't take negative stuff personally then i feel its fine as long as they address the person the joke is to.

What are you thoughts on staff playing in games?
If they don't have any place in hosting or suggesting opinions, then i feel its fine. Anything that they can get an advantage with i feel is not fair in playing games.

If you already made all stars should you be allowed to compete in more seasons before all stars?
Yes, for the all-star to place better and an all-star should be able to beat other all-stars in order to qualify, if not then you will have weaker competitors entering in the later seasons oppose to earlier seasons.

What is your policy on curse words and obscene or sexual conversations in the forum area?
If it is an open area fine, but if it is an official game information post it should not be tolerated.

What is your policy when it comes to inactives playing in a game?
Strikes policy and 3 strikes your out.

What is your stance on the Ban Penalty? When should someone be banned or suspended?
It works i feel more suspension and then a certain amount of suspensions leads to a ban.

What is your policy on playing in back to back games in the same series, should it be allowed?
Yes for all-star purpose you need to beat the best, and it cant happen if they don't play in back to back.

What is your stance on the invisibility option, should it be outlawed, or should there be rules for its use, or is it fine as it is?
I think it should be outlawed, gamewise it hurts and is kinda and advantage/disadvantage because u get to avoid certain people.

I want to keep this position i feel lke i worked for it and it has been a long process for it. With plans to do things as hosting and stuff feel it would be a slap in the face to lose my position with all these things going for me.
