Let's start some debates up here! Don't go to overboard, but feel free to speak your mind.
Topic: Is social networking beginning to terminate face to face interactions?
Have fun, and let's see some good debates! May offer some sort of reward to the person that does the best and convincing their side of the topic!

Actually I think its quite the opposite. I think its letting us connect with more people at once, and quite often for me its making me make face to face "dates" with folks, because I've had so much fun reconnecting with them on Facebook. For instance, recently my theater was entered in that Chase Giving thing and we had the opportunity to win $20,000 if we got people to vote for us. I ended up reaching out to many people I hadn't talked to in a while to get them to vote. In the process I ended up catching up with a lot of folks, and going out for a drink or lunch because of it. I'm sure there are some that just sit in their rooms and hide behind Facebook interactions, but for me, its actually made me able to connect with more people. You can't be out of site out of mind with Facebook. Incidentally we won the money.

I think that this debate is a bad one to have in a forum lol. Everyone in a forum community is going to say that they don't agree, because it involves them. I think it encourage's more sociability. I think this is something the older generations argue because they don't understand.
